Bill Michaels' 1/350 scale DML USS Annapolis, built OOB and painted with Polly Scale colors. Decals are from the kit; weathering is with pastels. Bill built the model as a gift for a former crewman, so he mounted it with brass rods on a wood base with brass nameplate obtained at a trophy shop.

Tony D'Anjou's Minicraft 1/144 scale C-118/ DC-6B.  Model is (fictitious but handsome) markings of Air Force One. Tony built it OOB and painted it with Model Master enamels. He used the kit decals, which he describes as “very thin and difficult to apply because they broke so easily.”

Bill Michaels' 1/72 scale Academy P-39 Airacobra, built OOB and painted with Polly Scale colors. Decals are from Eagle Strike and depict a plane flown by RAAF 457 Sqn. in 1943.

Bill Michaels' Eduard 1/72 scale Fokker Dr.1 Triplane, built OOB except for the addition of the pilot figure. Bill used Polly Scale paints. This version of the Eduard kit provides decals for planes seen in the movie “Flyboys.” Bill’s model carries the markings of the “bad guy.”

Dave Schmidt's Otaki 1/48  scale Republic  P-47D Thunderbolt.

Dave dropped the flaps and elevators, added brake lines, vacuformed the fuel tank, and scratchbuilt sway braces. Camouflage colors are Model Master enamel Olive Drab and Neutral Gray. Decals are from the kit; pastels used for weathering.
