Tony D'Anjou's 1/100 scale Accurate Miniatures P-51D Mustang.

MitchellHumvee.jpg (70772 bytes) Dave Mitchell's Tamiya  1/35 scale HUMVEE.

MossTornado.jpg (46327 bytes)

Pip Moss’s 1/72 Tornado GR.1 in the markings of a plane from RAF 9 Squadron, based at Bruggen, Germany in the 1980s. This is a very good kit with excellent detail for the scale.

Besides the fragile, moveable wing pylons, two of which broke off during construction, the only trouble spots were the complicated main landing gear struts, which were tricky to get properly aligned.

HamelP-47.jpg (61641 bytes) Dave Hamel's superb  1/48 scale P-47D-25.  Dave added a lot of extra detail to this Tamiya kit.

This plane was flown by Lawton Clark of the 87th Fighter Group, 84th Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. Clark was killed in action on 10 September 1944 while strafing a train.

This is a P-47D-25RE. The RE denotes a plane manufactured at Republic’s plant in Farmingdale, New York. Airframes from the Evansville, Indiana factory were labeled RA. The plane’s serial number is 42-26590.

Dave made a number of improvements:

- He added spark plug wire and piping to the engine. 18 cylinders meant 36 wires.

- The exhaust waste gate aft of the oil coolers is a bit under-defined. He improved the area by cutting and reshaping. Cutting the circumference of the flutter valve was also an improvement.

- He added an exhaust collector made of wire solder.

- He made a fuel tank filler cap using the Waldron punch-and-die set.

- He added wire brake lines to the main landing gear.

O'KeefeFigure.jpg (42176 bytes) Mike O'Keefe's Tamiya 1/16 scale German Machine Gunner.  Model is OOB, painted with various acrylics and enamels, and weathered with pastels.

MichaelsM3A1s.jpg (50971 bytes)

Bill Michaels'  1/72   scale  M3A1 halftracks.  The one with the trailer is the Airfix kit, while the other is from Hasegawa.  The Airfix kit is really 1/76 scale, and is noticeably smaller than the Hasegawa model.

MitchellJagdtiger.jpg (73935 bytes) Dave Mitchell's 1/72 scale Jagdtiger.  A nice kit by DML.
